Writing Prompt: Share a hobby you’ve picked up recently — what got you into it?
As a child, I remembering watching the show… I don’t remember the name, however, it implanted the idea of becoming a cartoonist.
As I grew older, I explored other interest, musical instruments…mostly guitar, journling, all the while, continuing my illustration journey.
By my teen years, the art of guitar consumed me, with my discovery of “The Mars Volta”, from one of those magazines where you pay $1 and they sent you any 3 cd’s you chose. I chose 3 random artist I never heard of and found one of my all time favorite bands in existence.
Over the years, when I would find those quiet moments, when all the noise of everyday life drifted and I could focus on “play”, I would always find myself oscillating between, illustration and music, trying to find a way to bridge the gap.
Technology is a wonderful tool. It allows the mind to create what once seemed impossible.
