Writing Prompt: What villain actually had a good point?

Recently, the second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender was released. So, I decided to catch up and have a “do nothing” kind of day. As I re-watched the first season before jumping into the second, I realized I forgot what it was about, but in the first 5 minutes of the S1: Ep. 1, I was deeply reminded. (😭🕊️)

All caught up, I jumped into the second season. Towards the end, there was a scene in which Azula, daughter of the Fire Lord, began to overtake an Earth Nation kingdom.

This Earth Nation city was run by a shadow ruler. Through Azula’s wit and force, she overthrew him, but not without saying these words to him…..”I can see your whole history in your eyes. You were born with nothing. So you’ve had to struggle and connive and claw your way to power. But true power, the divine right to rule, is something you’re born with.”

Azula was known for her brutality and cold demeanor. Many would not agree with most of what she said and did, but that line rings true, no matter the situation.

And interestingly enough, it is the theme for this month. Stay tuned……
