“In the process of letting go, you will lose many things from the past, but you will find yourself.”- Deepak Chopra

Life is a series of cycles. There are beginnings and endings. Without an ending, there cannot be a beginning. While holding on to the old, you cannot start something new. One of the hardest lessons to learn is some people, places, or things may not have a place with you in your new the beginning.
In Lee Carroll’s Kryon series “The Journey Home”, the main character Michael Thomas had a serious accident that sent him on a awaking journey. As he ventured through a curious land, he visited different homes, each one with an angel designated to the home. While visiting one house, Michael Thomas was asked to leave his baggage behind. He proclaimed, these were his things and this was all he had to remind him of his life. “I need my things.” He would proclaim.
Michael Thomas went along his trail but a storm hit him and tore apart his belongings, injuring him in the process. When venturing to the next home, the angel asked him, “Where are your belongings.” Michael Thomas replied, he had lost them in the storm. The angel replied, “Without your things, did you lose yourself? Did you lose the memories that your belonging held?” Michael Thomas replied “No, the memories are still remain.”

We do not need to hold on to things to hold the memories in our hearts. Letting go can be the most beneficial act we can do for ourselves. - Burning bowl ceremony. Whatever it is that you would like to let go, find a burning bowl or an old glass. A candle holder works as well. Write down what it is that you want to let go. Under a full moon, burn it and release.
- Cord cutting ceremony. When performing a cord cutting ceremony, you want to set the tone with a white candle, for purity. Move your hands around your body ceremoniously and feel for the areas that feel heavy and weighted down. Any place that you feel the weight, take your hand and cut that cord. Use up and down motions and move around your body, cutting the ties connected to you. (Side note: Be prepared for some intense emotions during cord cutting ceremonies. Sometimes there are things we need to let go that we may not be aware of.)
