Melodic drums drifting me away

Recently I went on my first shamanic journey through meditation to meet my spirit guides. These days I don’t require many guided meditations, but my spirit drew me to seek out guided meditations. I thought, ‘Why Not?’, so, I figured I would give it a try.

I found a meditation for a shamanic journey with drums it looked promising. (shamanic meditation) I figured we’d start here.

The Meditation

I sat cross legged on the floor, breathing deeply, in and out. The beat of the drums sounded “dun dun dun dun, dun dun dun dun.”  My pulse began to sing along with the rhythm of the drums. I was transformed into a thick forests. Totally immersed in the woods. All that was lush and green surrounded me. I could smell the Moss thick in the air. I could taste the luscious green of the grass. The leaves sing songs through the breeze.

I was alone, as I wandered through. I found a beautifully crisp and refreshing stream to quench my thirst. I cupped a handful and submerged my face. ‘Cooling’, I thought as i began to walk back towards the humongous tree.

The Descent

Spiral

Centuries old, deep roots, and a thick large trunk which was covered with Moss so green and lush. I could not find the bark of the tree. I leaned back against the base and relaxed as I lay on the tree I could feel its hollow nature so I gave it a tap. It echoed with deep vibrations. I got to my feet and ventured around the tree, only to see that there was an opening on the other side.

Spacious and dark, I rest my hand upon the tree and caressed this deep ridges beautiful and rich. I entered the tree to find a large space, dark and cool. In the center, the natural light shone on a descending spiral staircase, ever so enticing. I began to walk the stairs. They were made of rock, rigid and cold. It looked to be formed by man and nature combined.

As I descended downward I looked and I appear to be nearing the end, as I did, I saw a round table with people sitting around it. They looked highly influential and well respected. The ancient teachers. I cannot shake the power they exuded. However when I finally reached the bottom, they were no longer visible.

A New World

As I reached the bottom there was an opening that led to another forest. However, this forest was far more lush than the last. This place was pure. Untouched by man. The air, sweet and thick with the richness of the forest. As I walk through, hand stretched out. Soaking up the sweet scents of the pure air, I noticed a chameleon running alongside me. As I made my way through the forest. The chameleon stayed closely by my side. As if to reassuring me that I was noticed and protected.

The Chameleon & the Dinosaur

As I wander through taking in the scene with the great wonder a brontosaurus crossed my path. I looked at the brontosaurus and the brontosaurus looked at me. His head nodded as to say hello. It let me climb its back and took me around the forest as a playful tour guide.

We laughed and played. Joyful, to have met one another. After moments of play, I decided to take a rest by a nearby stream. Crisp and clear. I laid on my back lounging with the chameleon by my side.

Suddenly, I noticed some rustling of the bushes. I felt a presence as if, being watched. It was not a negative energy but something pure and familiar. As I looked in the direction of the noise, a figured appeared through the forest.

Meeting my Guide

Wisdom Divine

Native to the land. The figure appeared to be a masculine energy.   He had a strong, square like face, tan skin kissed by the sun, white chalk lines under his eyes, and a bone through his nose. Primal, while intelligent in his stance. He gave the energy of not just any man but of a high priest.

As I gazed upon his face, his aura was welcoming. He summoned me to join him without saying a word. We walked through the forests, neither of us speaking. We came upon an opening through the forest at the edge of a Cliff. I looked down and seen a large civilization, with massive structures.

People hustling and bustling through the city. He then turned to me and he began to talk. Looking down on the civilization the man spoke to me about knowledge. He told me, in my DNA, I possessed millions of years of knowledge. I can pull from my internal knowing for any experience that I have. Also, he went on, ‘You are the lighthouse, a beacon of hope’.

Stepping into Purpose, Old Soul

Ardon, was his name. He told me my purpose is to be authentically myself and to convey my messages through my art. I have no reason for doubt and fear. I have been here from the beginning of time. I am the beginning and the end. All of this was said without uttering a single word.

After our talk, I returned back into the forest. Following my route back to the tree from which I came. I reached the opening and made my way up the stairs. I returned to the opening and back into the original forest. As I entered the original forest, I entered back into my body.

This was an amazing session and it is unforgettable. I am reminded to stay strong on my journey and confidently share the knowledge and wisdom accumulated through lifetimes. The journey of the way shower.
