A gift born from love. The first time I laid eyes on you, deep, dark, and bruting. An instant connection form and I perfectly named you, “Shadow Man (Prince of Darkness).
Shadow Man
I always heard of spirit animals but I did not know the extent until I met you. Inseparable, my companion and I. Traveling across the country, exploring new territories. It was only fitting that you transitioned while on an adventure.
Finding your frigid corpse, still untouched by nature stretched, to your fullest length. The blades of grass covered your face, peering through I see your face. Your peaceful face, I could not hold my emotions. Immediately I fell apart. 6 years passed since the day you were born. My best friend and companion was gone.
A couple months passed and I still felt your absence. Finding myself in shambles at random times in different environments. I felt broken until, you found me again.
Kane
One day I arrived home to find and fluffy kitten, I quickly asked my roommate at the time why there was a kitten here. We had many animals when combined, our home was turning into a pet shelter. Immediately the kitten climbed up my leg, worked its way to my shoulder, and began to purr. “His name is Kane.” my roommate said with the widest grin.
One night, many months after Kane joined the family, I had a lucid dream. In this dream, Shadow appeared (as he did from time to time in my dreams) then he disappeared into the shadows and stepped out as Kane. My suspicions were confirmed! Kane was Shadow. My heart eased. True bonds can never be broken.
