A poem about love

DEATH OF LOVE

A PRELUDE

Love.

A common feeling so natural it flows from birth

I thought I knew what it meant to be in love

The rush of emotions

Nerve endings ignited

Heart flutters

An unending yearning

As time passes and the love fades, I realize that love is not the emotion

Love is action without the need for recognition

It is wanting the best for someone with no strings attached

Once I appreciated the death of love

I learned to appreciate the life of love

Exhilarating

Painful

Deep and dark

Unrelenting

Without love life seems endless

Colorless

Vague

Love is more than intimacy

Love can be felt in the most unassuming places

The budding of a Flower

The rays of the Sun

The glow of the moon

Love is all around us

Within every being love vibrates

Through the breeze of the wind

Radiating from the soul

Once we learn to love ourselves

The love we will encounter is boundless

So, Cheers

Here’s to the Death of selfish fleshly love

The Love of being Loved

With hidden agendas

Loving with Egos

Today I embrace true love

The love of the Divine

Is the love of self

With that

 Love can never die

Love oh Love!

Carry me to my Destiny

The Love that resides within

And So it is!
